Ride the Migraine Train

Next time the kids try to drag you onto the Death Drop roller coaster again, tell them you have a legitimate medical excuse. The New England Journal of Medicine reports that the pressure caused by multiple drops and loop-de-loops on a roller coasted could give you a splitting headache.

The report mentions a Canadian man who complained of a terrible headache that lasted for weeks after taking 11 consecutive trips on a roller coaster. Medical tests revealed he had broken several blood vessels in his head, which caused blood to pool between his brain and skull. When doctors drained the blood, the man recovered fully and was ready to ride again. Source: Men's Health
